CONSERVING SEYCHELLES MARINE LIFE
Have you ever imagined something beyond belief? Have you ever reached your dreams? Well don’t look further away just get a map spot the Indian Ocean and get a glance at the archipelago called Seychelles.
Don’t get so energized seeing the islands but there are things much more marvellous than the isles.
In the duty free, grab a visitors' guide and begin to search for a diving centre, but remember to drop your luggages because action is near.
When headfirst underneath the water surface it is splendid but not always because the island is being ruined by all the human activities going on.
As a 12 year old I would like to ask; WHAT IS CONSERVATION? It is not a word that does not exist in the English vocabulary. In other words you can say preservation, protection, upkeep or maintenance meaning keeping of a thing entire. If everybody does not want to conserve marine life it means there’s no marine life that exists.
What would you see if you look through a microscope? Everything would look very different. You might see tiny part of a leaf. But it’s a lot different when looking at the ocean and a small water basin, the ocean is the vast body of water which covers three fifths of the earth
Have you ever heard the word marine life, did you know that animals are found throughout the world, from the thirsty desert to the moist rain forest to the freezing Antarctic some fauna made their home there! Marine life is life pertaining to the ocean. There are different types of species wandering the sea e.g. sea stars are the most familiar you would see in different films like THE LITTLE MERMAID.
It is one of the most remarkable species living beneath the sea that when classified falls under the animal kingdom phylum echinodermata, invertebrates which lives in water and their body is divided into 5 body parts, have no head and their tough covering protects their body. Their feet are used to move around and to get food. Sea stars can wrap their feet around an oyster and open the shell.
I think there’s not much being done about conserving our marine life, and tears will roll down my cheeks if I see the deep blue sea being so dump and so brown without occasional fish jumping above the surface the paradise would no longer be a paradise. Seychelles traditional food and culture consist mainly of sea species so how to make a stop for Seychellois not to eat fish. No Seychellois cannot survive without fish so this is a solution for fisherman, they should fish in just a specific area which can be marked with green buoy and for the craft workers they can use other resources apart from those collected from the sea.
Have you ever heard of the sea cow? Yes it once exists in the Seychelles water it is going to extinct in Seychelles water. WE NEED TO CONSERVE OUR OCEANS.
